MALAS |
 |
A Mala is a string of prayer beads, comparable to a rosary, used when reciting mantras or counting prayer. Tibetan Malas are usually comprised of 108 beads and are made in many different styles and from many different types of materials.
We also carry hand or wrist malas of the traditional 27 or 18 beads. We offer several styles of malas in the following materials:
- Sandalwood
- Rudraksha
- Bodhi seed
- Rosewood
- Bone
Below you will find just a few of all the malas we have to offer.
Along with our Malas, we also carry malas counters, and mala bags. One style of mala counter is a thick thread that holds rings or beads that are used when keeping count of mantras. The other style is a single counter, like a charm, that is clipped onto the mala string to mark one's place. A great place to store one's mala is in a mala bag, so it does not get tangled or frayed. Below are some of the mala counters and mala bags that we offer.
