Ngakpa shawl (zentha). Woven in Bhutan, maroon and white design. 108″ x 44″.
The color on these shawls run. To be safe, only dry-clean. Some customers have reported success in keeping the maroon from staining the white by washing the shawl in cold, icy-water mixed with salt or vinegar.
In Nepal, Tibet and India it is not uncommon to see old, worn, zenthas that are maroon and pink instead of white.
Such is impermanence!
